A groundbreaking endeavor to share the Rebbe’s life and teachings with the world through music, The Storm the World project was launched in November 2017.
Shortly after the release of the Storm the World album, it skyrocketed to number eight in the world, on the iTunes World Music charts - an unprecedented accomplishment for a debut Jewish album.
STW is the brainchild of Boca Raton Shliach and Chabad emissary Rabbi Ruvi New. Singing for as long as he’s been speaking, Ruvi’s career in music began as a child soloist at the Australian Chassidic Song Festival. As a Yeshiva student, Ruvi was the go to composer for summer camp theme songs, and while on an educational outreach tour in the Former Soviet Union in 1990, Ruvi performed before thousands of Russian Jews.
While serving as Cantor in his Chabad House, Ruvi has received vocal training from the world renowned vocal teachers Seth Riggs and David Babinet. A gifted vocalist and lyricist, Ruvi has collaborated with some of the Jewish world's greatest composers, to produce music that is rich in depth and fresh in sound.
Ruvi has traveled and performed throughout North America and Australia, bringing the Rebbe’s teachings and life to life through a multimedia experience of song, story, insight and video that inspires, uplifts and calls to action!
